Four Hull schools qualify Humberside U11 Boys 7v7 Football Finals


33 teams and 330 students took part in the annual Hull Active Schools Under 11 Boys 7-a-side Tournaments in partnership with Hull Schools FA. Over three nights at St Mary’s College, four teams battled their way through to the Humberside Schools Finals on Friday 1st Decmber 2017 at the same venue.

In the first qualifying tournament, Eastfield and Pearson were closely matched remaining unbeaten in their games. However, Eastfield’s superior record against other teams meant that they took the first qualifying sport for the Humberside Finals. In the second qualifying tournament, Victoria Dock, Bricknell A, Sutton Park and Gillshill qualified for the semi-finals. Victoria Dock beat Gillshill 1-0 in the first semi-final with Bricknell A beating Sutton Park by the same scoreline. Victoria Dock beat Bricknell 2-0 in the final to qualify for the Humberside Schools Finals.

In the final qualifying tournament, St Vincent’s, Biggin Hill, Christopher Pickering and Sidmouth qualified for the semi-finals. Biggin Hill beat St Vincent’s 3-0 and Christopher Pickering beat Sidmouth 4-0. In the final, the score finished 1-1 after extra time between Biggin Hill and Christopher Pickering. Christopher Pickering won the penalty shoot out to win the tournament and will be joined by Biggin Hill in the Humberside Finals.

Eastfield, Victoria Dock, Biggin Hill and Cristopher Pickering qualify for the Humberside Schools Finals.
