Sirius Academy West Shine At Hull Schools 5’s

Sirius Academy West remained undefeated as they took the Year 8 Hull Schools 5 a side Championships. In freezing temperatures, 8 teams braved the sub-zero conditions to produce some fine football at Goals Soccer Centre, Hull.

In Group A, St Mary’s College remained undefeated to win the group with Kelvin Hall taking second place. In Group B, Sirius Academy West replicated the performance of St Mary’s College with mallet Lambert taking second place. In the semi-finals, Sirius Academy West edged out Kelvin Hall 3-2 with the St Mary’s College v Malet Lambert finishing 2-2. In the penalty shoot-out, Malet missed the 10th penalty and St Mary’s College went through to the final.

In the Third/Fourth Place Play Off, Kelvin Hall drew with Malet Lambert 3-3. Malet won the shoot out to take third place. Sirius Academy West were dominant and ran away winners 4-1 against St Mary’s College in the final. Trinity House Academy were fifth, The Marvell College sixth, Archbishop Sentamu Academy seventh and Winifred Holtby Academy eighth.
