Primary Panathlon Challenge!

The Panathlon Foundation’s programmes inspire young disabled people in special schools and mainstream SEN units by giving new opportunities, which increase their personal skills, social interaction, life experiences, healthy lifestyles, immersing in external environments and help in their evidence towards ASDAN qualifications.

Hull School Games worked with the Panathlon Foundation to organise a primary school competition at Costello Stadium this term which acts as our local qualifier for the Humber County School Games Panathlon Finals in April.

The competition involves schools attending with a team of between 6-9 young people who take part in a carousel of challenges specifically designed to be fully inclusive and fun to play! Boccia, New Age Kurling, Table Cricket and Target Throw are just some of the interesting games involved. Teams are given a score for each challenge.

Congratulations to Bellfield Primary School and Alderman Cogan Primary School who qualified as our mainstream SEN teams and to Ganton Special School who took the Special School slot. We wish those teams every success in the County Finals!

Well done to Biggin Hill, Chiltern, Spring Cottage, Cristopher Pickering, Craven and St Mary Queen of Martyrs for providing some exxcelent competition on the day.
